Peer review

General info

For the final assignment, you also need to submit a peer review via TEAMMATES. After grading of the midterm assignment, you will receive an invitiation for peer review.

Failure to submit the peer review in time will lead to a reduced individual grade for the final assignment, as specified in the study guide.

For the peer review, you need to answer the following two questions:

1. For each group member, including yourself, specify the contribution to the final assignment of the group member.

2. Rate the contribution of each group member, including yourself, on a scale from 0 to 10.

The grades that your team members have obtained by peer review, are scaled so that the average of the peer review grades of your team equals the obtained grade for the final assignment. Therefore, only the relative values of the grades that you give to your team members are important.

For example, giving all group members, including yourself, a 9, or giving all of them a 6, has the same effect: the peer review grade equals the grade of the midterm assignment.

In special cases, such as when the points received by a student deviate very much, or when the corrected grades deviate very much between students, the course teachers may decide to correct the grades resulting from the peer review calculations.

If a student appears to have had hardly any input for the midterm assignment, the student may be removed from the group.

See the table below for three example groups. Note that for the obviously non-functioning Group 3, the course teachers may decide to correct the resulting grades, and remove student I from the group.

Note

For 2022, we no longer take the normal average of the peer review grades, but the fourth root of the average of the fourth powers of the peer review grades. The values given below are therefore no longer correct. It may take some time to update them.
